Berge Ayvazian was recently named senior research fellow at the Yankee Group in January 2003. After serving as theYankee Group’s chief executive officer from June 1999 through December 2001, Mr. Ayvazian served as the company’s vice chairman of the Board of Directors during 2002.
After serving as the Yankee Group’s chief executive officer from June 1999 through December 2001 and as the company’s vice chairman of the Board of Directors in 2002, Berge Ayvazian was named senior research fellow at the Yankee Group in January 2003. In this senior research capacity, Mr. Ayvazian focuses on driving the company’s global thought leadership, by working closely with the Yankee Group’s diverse research groups as a strategic resource, and guiding the growth of the firm’s planning services, tools, consulting, and events businesses. Mr. Ayvazian is a significant driver of the Yankee Group’s research and thought leadership, reinforcing the content and expertise of multiple research groups and mentoring analysts. Additionally, he returns to his role as a foremost senior industry analyst and consultant, as well as a principal public spokesperson for the Yankee Group. Specifically, he is actively engaged in the many activities directed to current and prospective clients, such as assisting with key renewals and new business development, high impact public speaking, and the delivery and execution of large consulting projects.
With 16 years at the Yankee Group, and 8 years of research and consulting experience at Kalba Bowen Associates, Mr. Ayvazian has directed more than 100 consulting projects, forecasting product and service markets, assessing strategy and analyzing investment opportunities in the telecommunications, wireless, computer, Internet, cable and broadcast TV industries. Berge Ayvazian holds a B.A. degree from Bucknell University and an M.A. degree from the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Pennsylvania. He is also a former member of the adjunct faculty at Boston University’s College of Communication.


Razmik Abnous - Vice President of Technology, Chief Architect, Founding Engineer Razmik joined Documentum in 1991 as part of the original product design team. He was responsible for critical areas of the Documentum platform architecture including the workflow engine, virtual document manager, relationship management, and security. Razmik was co-architect of Documentum 4i, a massive undertaking that included significant architectural changes and propelled Documentum from document management into enterprise content management. He also led the development of Documentum 5, which included market leading innovations such as a J2EE Web development kit and the business objects framework, which allows developers to reuse components of business application logic.
Currently, as Chief Architect, Razmik ensures the integrity of Documentum architecture across all products while driving the advanced development of new products. He also provides architectural guidance to customers and strategic partners, and represents Documentum in industry efforts to craft and disseminate uniform technology standards.
Before joining Documentum, Razmik worked at Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC) and Ashton-Tate on object-relational databases, artificial intelligence and image-processing systems, and silicon compilers. At DEC, he was also the company's liaison with Microelectronic Computer Corporation (MCC.), a research and development consortium that pursued innovation in database and operating systems, programming languages, and other advanced software technologies.
Razmik has co-authored two books on object orientation and intelligent offices. His research on intelligent offices led him to Documentum. Razmik holds a B.S. and a Masters of Engineering in applied math and computer science from the University of Louisville.


Dork Alahydoian is a product manager for new product development at LookSmart, an internet search company. At LookSmart, he has been resonsible for the development and launch of four major internet based products. Prior to working at LookSmart, Mr. Alahydoian worked as an attorney for Wilson Sonsini Goodrich and Rosati, where he helped structure financing and licensing agreements for entrepreneurs and start-up technology companies in Silicon Valley. He has a JD/MBA from U.C. Berkeley.


Hovhannes Avoyan, a Managing Director and Director of Development, Lycos Armenia, one of development centers of Lycos Europe portal. He is a senior visiting lecturer, American University of Armenia, member of IEEE and ACM societies. Formerly, he was a VP technology Brience Inc., a San Francisco based company delivering mobile software solutions for companies like Ingram Micro, CNN, Washington Mutual, Applied Materials, Hyperion, T-Mobile and others. He is a software industry veteran with 22 years programming, software engineering, lecturing and project management experience.


Dr. Barry Levine is the Program Coordinator of the Computer & Information Science program at AUA. He also serves as professor and graduate coordinator of the Department of Computer Science at San Francisco State University (San Fransicso, California). He has consulted for various organizations, including the World Bank, USAID, the U.S. Government and private industry. His interests include object-oriented programming, programming language design, compiler construction, functional programming and asynchronous distance learning. He has traveled and lectured worldwide in countries including Kenya, China, Jordan and Armenia.


Armen Shahverdyan is the Director of Open Source Armenia. He is an Expert of European Commission on information technologies and industrial restructuring. Mr. Shahverdyan consulted the World Bank and  the Government of Armenia on business processes re-engineering, e-Government investments and policies, and strategy planning. He was a Legal & Procurement Consultant to $90 million Lincy Foundation’s (USA) project in Armenia; a Research Associate at the IT Research Group of the Center for International Development at Harvard University (USA), Leading Expert at the Armenian Ministry of Energy, and Deputy Director of EcoInfTech consulting company in Moscow, Russia

Mr. Shahverdyan holds Master in Public Administration degree from Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University (USA).


Yervand Sarkisyan is a Senior Analyst at the Enterprise Incubator Foundation (EIF), a business development incubator. At the EIF he is working on several projects aimed at development of IT industry in Armenia. Before joining EIF, Mr. Sarkisyan was an IT consultant for Accenture in Frankfurt, Germany, working on a large project for the German Stock Exchange. He holds a BS in mathematics from the Yerevan State University and an MBA from the Katz Graduate School of Business, University of Pittsburgh.
